About Us

Established in 1937, the Wildlife Society's Mission Statement is: “To inspire, empower, and enable wildlife professionals to sustain wildlife populations and habitats through science-based management and conservation.”

As a student chapter, the UBCO TWS provides UBCO students with a unique opportunity to hone their skills, obtain knowledge and network with other students and professionals in the field of wildlife biology. It is UBCO's only club committed to providing students with in-field, hands-on experience in all aspects of ecology. We put on workshops, facilitate networking and organize field trips to give students the opportunity to experience what it takes to be a wildlife biologist. Our aim is to facilitate an environment where like-minded students can interact, make friends, and forward their careers!
